An extension to your house would not require planning permission as long as certain conditions were met. You should however check with your local planning authority to check that PD (permitted development) rights have not been removed; other consents may also be required if your house is listed or if for example you are living in a conservation area.
Extensions are considered to be (controlled work) and as such it is a requirement to make an application to your Local Authority Building control department for building regulations, we of course would be happy to make this application on your behalf.

In most cases planning permission is not required to convert an attached or an integral garage as again the development would be considered as being Permitted Development, but you should check with your local planning department just to confirm and in case you are living in a conservation area or if there any covenants place on your property, in this case planning permission may well be required.
